Regular Screen vs High Bright Screen: Standing Out on the Thames

Updated: 2 days ago

Thames River Services needed a display that could compete for attention in one of London's busiest riverside environments.

Following two previous installations, this was Windsor Displays' third digital display installation for Thames River Services, this time at its Greenwich kiosk. The challenge was clear: achieve strong visibility in a bright, competitive riverside environment where a standard commercial screen could easily be overlooked.

We supplied and installed a 46" Samsung Ultra High Bright Digital Display, delivering an impressive 4,000 nits of brightness. The result is a screen that remains highly visible in bright daylight, helping Thames River Services' promotional content stand out against surrounding signage and displays.

Our video shows difference between a regular-brightness screen and an Ultra High Bright commercial display is immediately noticeable. For exposed locations such as riverside kiosks, investing in the right display technology can make the difference between content being seen or ignored.

Client: Thames River Services, London
