Indent Design approached us on behalf of their client in Reading, who wanted to replace a traditional printed A-board with a modern, professional freestanding window screen. The goal was simple: improve visibility, elevate the shopfront appearance, and enable quick, hassle-free content updates.
The Challenge
Before the upgrade, the office window displayed a poster taped to an A-board, static, outdated, and difficult to refresh. The client needed a digital alternative, but faced several constraints:
Budget limitations ruled out a premium Ultra High Brightness 65” display.
No drilling allowed due to expensive tiled flooring and a floor heating vent beneath the space.
Flexibility needed to reposition the display for evening events inside the building.
Our Solution: A Freestanding Digital Window Screen
To balance performance and cost, we recommended a 65” 700cd/m² 4K Commercial Display, fitted to a commercial grade stand, designed for public areas. While 700cd is not as bright as Ultra High Brightness models, it offered:
Good visibility in typical daylight and evenings
Clear 4K resolution for sharp content
A budget-friendly price point the client was comfortable with
The client understood that visibility may reduce in direct, bright sunlight, but agreed it was the best value solution.
